Sasa, log into your wp admin area. Click on settings and then on Reading. Set the amount of videos you want to show on the home page at “Blog pages show at most”

lol, its in the bottom, the custom field section, add thumb and url of thumb

btw is there a way to make the the sidebar tht gets shown when you click on a post the same colour as the front page sidebar, because the grey goes with my site, but with black i cant see my widget’s texts

cheers but that doesn’t seem to work properly, it maybe clashing with one of the extra plugins i’ve installed though, i’ll have a play.

While i’m here i’ll mention a little bug i think i have discovered, my “most viewed” page keeps doubling up entries so that pairs of idential entries appear next to each other.

Hey, i just imported a database with 1500 videos, now all of them have no thumbnails, is there a way / plugin that is going to let me mass change the thumbnails that i choose. For example i choose all of family guy season 4 and choose a thumbnail for all of them.

i have one question
do i have to upload the thumbnail or it’s automaticaly embed from youtube ?

I’ve uploaded a fair number of videos onto the site, but for some reason, they aren’t “filling in all the spaces”. In one line I may have one or two thumbprints whereas other lines will be filled. Can you help?

1. header bar populated with all categories looks messy, any way to disable categories in header
2. on selecting this theme, WP admin pages view gets stretched, any other there WP admin is normal…… any suggestions?

Where are the tube options? Appearance / Themes … I dont see options? Where am I going wrong?

Still not seeing it Greg, I look at all menu’s in wp-admin on the left and tube options isnt in there anywhere, which main heading will it me under? Appearance, Settings? or what?

i use this wptube3, i love the color red so much.
everything looks great, I can set everything perfectly.
until, I post my 15th video post. the theme goes error.
the display of the left sidebar is not in the right place anymore. the widget is place in below, while the above space is empty. just blank. I didnt change anything in stylesheet.
can you help me plz?

I use tube3.1 and the thumb pict didnt show up in front page, but, in the related video below the single post, shows perfectly.
I used tube3 before, it worked fine, until the 15th post, the left sidebar in front page not inplace (they showed in below space while the upper space empty).
I install wp 2.9, is this theme not compatible with wp 2.9?
and also, it showing error message everytime I make changes in post display under reading option.

Nevermind… RSS is already there.. All I need to do now is customize it so it includes thumbnail image on it.

The site is pretty cool but so very very many people have exactly the same problem with Thumbs not appearing on the home page.

The answer is read the install text which to be honest is very vague indeed as many users do not know any html.

Many people ask the same question here and get a rather short and irritated reply. The fact is this is a good product that could be fantastic. Not everyone is wrong and only the creator right.

Can you at least provide a step by step guide to correcting the thumbnail issue as it is not clearly covered in the install text.
I have installed hundreds of script sites both WPress and non wordpress but sorry this one outfoxes me.

Many people want to use a post feeder/generator to obtain the videos.
Whilst the videos work perfectly in the player on pressing the empty thumb sqaure, the thumbs themself are not visible even when the relevent boxes as mentioned above are selected.

Can you help once and for all not only myself but everyone else who still hasn’t solved this.

Does anyone have a fix that works for the no thumbs visible problem on the main page?

Greg is right in that a custom field must be created and this works fine for 95% of posts.

The problem people are having when using automated post plugins is that the software itself
names the thumb on the post differently. ie the software instead of naming the image “thumb” will name the image something like psb_thum_url.

When written in this way WP Tube will NOT recognize the thumb posted and it still will not appear in the gallery.

This is NOT a WP Tube problem. WP Tube works amazingly well and all credit to Greg for producing such a fantastic script for free!

What you have to do to get around this is edit one of of your files in the relevent Plugins functions.php file so that instead of automaticaly listing each thumb as psb_thum_url or wpo_thumb_url it lists it as simply thumb.

It’s very easy really once you know how but it did take me a good few hours to sort out.

Remember that this tube script wasn’t made just for automatic post generators. It was made for individual posts.
Greg has done a brilliant job and this product works perfectly. The problem is with the plugins we choose to use and it is up to us to solve that problem and has nothing to do with Greg or WP Tube.

I had no problems with thumbs, and in my opinion the file install.txt is illustrative and easy in this matter.

But, i don´t know how to insert the advertise code in the space before the footer and after the posts?

If you want to make your WP Tube auto-updating (let it pull the new FLV clips right from XML feeds), I would suggest you to install the CyberSEO Suite plugin.

Wonderful theme, well I know the new theme might be coming out anytime soon. I will be updating but as for now, the 3plugins will not upload… This might be a problem on my end, I am going to keep trying, but the 3plugins I guess for rating, views and such will not upload. Like I said, I will keep trying hopefully I will figure out what the hell I am doing wrong. Also using IE, ads and things keep disappearing I will try and figure it out but when I view my site on Firefox ever thing is there like it should be. Hm weird.

And I clicked on a lot of post names and saw websites, on the Firefox browser you can look at keywords that people have on their site. Just right click on the page and go to “Page Info” then you will see something called Meta Tags, please people who didn’t add keywords to your site, please do so. It will help you get listed in search engines and much more.

Also I add all of my videos manually so it is easy to make thumbs, the instructions are very simple. And it might be easy as well if you allow others to add videos to your site, manually this might save on time.

Yeah, I kind of figured it was dealing with an FTP problem… I use Firefox mostly. I didn’t know Google wasn’t using Meta Tags. I’m pretty sure Yahoo, MSN and some others still do, at least I hope.

When you enable the Tube Theme you should see something at the very bottom of the page that states, “Tube Options”, Click That and it will take you to the “Main Settings” once there change logo from “text”, to “image”. Then go down and put in the URL of the image. For logo position I use “5px 0 0 20px”. Save your changes and that’s it.

yes, with 3 version its working fine. 1.0 version not working for me….anyway I will go with 3.0

on main page there is TODAYS FREE VIDEOS
then if you click any categories, let’s say, fun.

it will automatically change to, TODAYS FREE VIDEOS FOR FUN

i actually love it.
however, i want to edit it, i mean, i dont want it saying TODAYS FREE VIDEOS,

is it possible to edit that?

Is there a way to change the thumbnail size? Right now it’s 156×103, but since most of my thumbs will be vertical instead, so I’d like to preset it to 156×250.

I have not implemented the thumbnails on the RSS yet. It’s not too complicated, but you do need to know how to from the xml for the RSS feed and be mindful of special characters in xml.
