BUT.. it seems as it really screws up the dashboard in WP 2.9.1? Is it?

Yes, the admin dashboard appeared to be seriously broken, but that was on my local install, I havent sent the pages online yet.

Can you make automatically thumb image, from youtube, google video, vimeo, veoh, viddler, metacafe, blip.tv, flickr, spike.com, myspace?
This one is similar theme, have this function VideographEx 1.3 http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/videographex

i like the version 3.0 theme.

but whats lacking in the main index of the WP TUBE 3.0 is

the only thing that appears there is the RECENTLY OR NEW VIDEOS UPLOADED

how about you add below of it the most viewed or random views and or top rated videos.

but its 97% best WP TUBE theme i ever seen and used.

i suggest that

1. when putting thumbnail on the posts/video can you make it atleast 3 images so that it will be like a slideshow preview ? 3 thumbnail .5 seconds interval slideshow each time being pointed by the mouse cursor.

2. A random videos box below the main page will be great or top rated videos box below the main page.

3. another column? or a bigger header?

Unfortunately that’s the only problem. I searched for plugins everywere but i couldn’t find one. Please do an upgrade.

Unfortunately that’s the only problem. I searched for plugins everywere but i couldn’t find one. Please do an upgrade.

Make it to consume fewer resources on index.php. when i have many people online, i get Internal Server error. There are running too many Processes.

Why don’t you use wp super cache? That’s the beauty of wordpress, there is always a simple solution for everything.

I installed this wp super cache, but this theme still make many procesess like this:

for 3.0 : if you have more categories and no space in the header, the next category will go down. if you dont understand just add 10 categories… or less and you will understand

It suggest to integrate timthumb in the future version.

Make a sidebar with random videos, and popular videos with little thumbs.

Or you can use a usefull wp plugin – there are many!

for 3.0 : integrate Post Thumbnail

Since 90% of ‘your’ code is the same as the well known free WP plugin TubePress (www.tubepress.net) and those coloured themes are identical, can you explain what your connection is (if any) with TubePress and what the difference is between ‘freewptube’ and TubePress?

No problem. TBH I owe you an apology because I have to admit I thought – if you weren’t connected with TubePress – that this was based on TP, simply because I’d heard of TP a year or two ago when I was looking for WP Tube themes, so I assumed that it was a theme and that it came first.

It now seems that TubePress is just a plugin only (which explains why I never used it). So they’ve taken your theme, put the TubePress plugin into the plugin directory and passed it off as theirs, even calling it “TubePress Theme”? Incredible.

Apologies for jumping to the wrong conclusion and well done on a great theme.

I emailed the guy when I first posted here, but didn’t expect a reply after you said the theme was yours. He did reply to me later though, basically asking what was he ripping off (my words to him), since the theme is free.

Yeah, apparently free = public domain.

I dunno if he meant free as in no cost, or free as in the common open source sense, but maybe his next trick is repacking Wordpress itself, since it is also free, with his plugin, removing all credits and references for Wordpress, and calling it “TubePress Blogging Software”.

He not only has not given you credit or a link back or even acknowledged the script is yours, he’s renamed it ‘TubePress Theme’, renamed the custom fields with a ‘tp_’ prefix (in the process breaking the script – check out the ‘bugfix’ someone else had to give him on the tubepress site, which he said he can’t even be bothered to check!), ironically altered the legal.php file to say _he_ spent a long time developing the script (!!!) and asking for the link to _his_ site to be kept, even though he removed _your_ link.

Totally outrageous behaviour, especially from someone who calls themselves a coder.

From a quick check his host seems to be Mediatemple (you’re more likely to get a result with the host than domain registrar Godaddy, if he’s not going to listen to reason), and if you didn’t already, make the notice under the DMCA.

I once saw someone years ago passing off scripts like Pligg and MODx and others as their own. When the MODx forum was notified I think they contacted the webhost immediately and the site went down pretty quickly.

I have a BIG problem it seems i can’t embed any video in the site! I tried all the free players but none works (including jw player and flow player).I insert the code in the video_code special place but it shows just a white space replacing the player !
The flv video and all the files needed for the player to work are in place !
Please help me !

now i am using Videographer theme, from here http://www.zoomstart.com/videographer-wordpress-theme/ and it can make auto thumb from the video..
i am not sure but maybe because it use WP YouTube plug in..
maybe u can take a look..

Add total comment. And make the title little longer. And. Ass hortizal scrolling feature video and picture. And. Add repoert broken link and report post abuse by using flag ……

Because I often forget to set the post_meta thumb but have usually the image set in the flashmovie tag I have made a short hack in the single.php that is quick and dirty but works well for me:

I really Think You Should Make The Thumb Titles Longer …cause in the past themes the title will hold only 2 or 3 words and the rest will get trunked…i found it frustrating that u cant even read titles of the videos lol

2- Auto post Videos From youtube User names /megavideo

3- Separate post gallary With a Date Or a Banner

4- Make The Title Of Thumbnails 10 Words long

i really wanna make a website like HTTP://worldstarhiphop.com They Got The Best wordpress Theme On The Web..very simular to this one in many ways If someone Can Tell Me The Name Of it or how i can get it that would be so great .

I’m not sure if any of this is possible, or if it would be way too time consuming, but I have a few suggestions. First, let me say, I love this theme, and thank you for all your efforts!

My suggestions (if possible):

1. Groups, playlists, members with the ability to upload, but with an option to not allow this function.

2. Profiles for members, and communications abilities between members such as emails, pms, etc.

This would allow for not only a tube site, but a full social networking capability within the tube. Again, I don’t know if this is possible with wordpress, or if you have the time to do such a thing if it is. But, these are my suggestions. And, even if it stays exactly the same as it is now, no complaints here, it’s a great theme and I love it, and I thank you for it!
